Just in: Final Consignment of PPEs from the Ngwa Health Foundation, USA Has Been Delivered
On behalf of the Foundation, Professor Christian Aluka, the Provost College of Medicine ABSU delivered one hundred (100) KN95 masks, five thousand (5,000) pairs of gloves, and two hundred and fifty (250) surgical masks to the Abia State University Teaching Hospital, Aba in support of the state government’s efforts to fight COVID-19. While handing over the gifts to Dr Offiah Awa Ukonye, the Chief Medical Director of ABSUTH, Prof Aluka noted that the Foundation had donated PPEs to the Amachara isolation center on July 29,2020.
Dr. Ukonye, who received the donation on behalf Abia State University Teaching Hospital management expressed his appreciation for the kind gesture of Ngwa Health Foundation, USA and the strong support of Abia Diasporans under the auspices of Dr. (Mrs.) Ngozi Ogbonna-Erondu, the Special Adviser to the Abia state Governor on Diaspora Matters and Special Duties. He promised that these supplies will be put to good use, and used the opportunity to acknowledge the consistent support and encouragement provided by the executive Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, during this pandemic.
