Covid19: Abia Diaspora Consortium Supports Radio Classroom

The Diaspora Consortium chaired by Professor Dennis Ikpe has donated 250 radio sets, 252 pairs of batteries to Abia State Government through the Ministry of Education to support radio classroom.

Pastor Emmanuel Chijioke Onwubiko who made the donation on behalf of the Diaspora Consortium noted that the donation is inline with the ongoing e-learning system established by the state. He expressed his appreciation of the efforts of the Ministry in making sure that Abia students are engaged during this pandemic.

The Honorable Commissioner for Education, Dr KCK Nwangwa who received the donation on behalf of the Ministry promised to make sure it gets to those who need it especially the less privileged in the state public schools. He praised the kind gestures of the Diasporans and their ever supportive spirit to the state especially since the outbreak of this pandemic.

The Commissioner thanked the Special Adviser to the Governor, Dr (Mrs) Ngozi Ogbonna-Erondu who has been eliciting and coordinating the contributions and responses from Abia Diasporans to the state.
